Keta FC has celebrated what the club describes as “vindication on and off the pitch” following recent controversies surrounding the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) Middle League campaign.
The latest statement from the club comes days after management publicly raised concerns about fairness, due process, and alleged administrative bias following its 3-2 victory over Yingor FC in the Middle League.
In the new release issued on May 28, 2026, Keta FC expressed gratitude to God for what it called continued “favour, protection, and vindication” throughout the competition.
“Our emphatic victory over Yingor FC was not merely a result on the pitch; it was a powerful statement that football must be decided by discipline, courage, preparation, and divine grace, not by noise, influence, sponsorship, or backstage manoeuvres,” the statement said.
The club suggested that attempts had been made to challenge or overturn its victory through administrative means but argued that those efforts were unsuccessful.
“For all the attempts to frustrate Keta FC, the outcome has spoken louder than words,” the club stated. “Those who sought to overturn our hard-won victory through administrative routes could not secure their own passage to the final.”
Keta FC had earlier questioned the basis of a reported protest connected to matters from the 2023/2024 Middle League season. The club argued that Yingor FC neither qualified for nor participated in that competition, making the protest difficult to justify procedurally.
The club had also alleged that the matter appeared to be receiving unusual administrative attention from officials within the VRFA, raising concerns over what it described as selective justice and targeted conduct against the club.
Despite the tensions, Keta FC says it remains focused on fair competition and protecting the integrity of the game.
“Keta FC remains focused, prayerful, and committed to fair competition. We will continue to defend our results, protect our integrity, and honour the supporters who believe in this great project,” the statement added.
The release concluded on a spiritual note, declaring that “when God stands with a team, no conspiracy can prevail.”
The developments have added to ongoing conversations about transparency, fairness, and governance within football administration in the Volta Region.
