Keta and Ketu District Hospitals receive wheel chairs

Keta, Sept. 19, GNA - The Management of World Goodwill Mission (WGM), a Holland-based charity organization, last weekend presented 11 wheel chairs valued at 40 million cedis to the Keta and Ketu District Hospitals at separate ceremonies at Keta and Aflao.

The Mission also presented a wheel chair to a 58-year-old physically challenged woman at Anyako in the Keta District, and pledged to cater for South Tongu District Hospital at Sogakope later.

Mrs. Dora Dorleagbenu, a member of the Mission who presented the chairs, said it was their social responsibility to enhance the welfare of the needy in society.

Dr. Asare Bediako, Medical Superintendent of the Ketu Hospital received six of the wheel chairs on behalf of the hospital. Mrs Catherine Anane, Deputy Director of Nursing Services of the Keta District Hospital received five of the wheel chairs on their behalf.

They pledged to ensure the wheel chairs were put to good use for the hospitals and called for more logistics to help improve health care delivery in their districts.
