Some angry residents of Ejisu Jamasi in the Ejisu Municipality in the Ashanti Region have burnt down a shrine belonging to a Beninois following what they described as ritual murders in the area.
According to the youth, the Spiritualist, whose name is yet to be identified by MyNewsGh.com is responsible for the recent serial killings and kidnappings of children in the locality, according to their investigation.
“Since he moved to this place, for two years now, we continue to count killings and kidnappings and we blame him for that”, a resident who spoke on condition of strict anonymity on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com narrated.
According to the opinion leader, the incident happened on Tuesday evening around 4:00pm where the youth stormed the spiritual home meeting the absence of the spiritualist and family who it is gathered got wind and fled.
Checks by MyNewsGh.com reveal that both the spiritualist and his family have fled to Benin to escape possible mob attacks by the enraged residents.
Police in the area confirmed the action of the youth to this portal but were quick to add that investigations are currently ongoing to apprehend the culprits.

Narrating what happened, the family said she left home at about 5 p.m. on Friday, June, 14, to have her phone charged in a nearby house.
