Kids for Christ International, a charity Non-Governmental Organisation would on April 2, 2018 embark on its annual ‘reach out to orphans donations and distributions tour’ in some homes in the central region.

The programme, which is on the Easter Monday would take them to the Royal Seed Home in Kasoa, Heshbon Orphanage Home in Senya-Breku, Ghana Make a difference at Gomoa Dadeyen and Hope children’s Village at Gomoa Fetteh all in the Central Region.

Outlining the programme in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra, Mr Maxwell Amoani, President of Kids for Christ International said the main goals of the project was to supply food and improve the wellbeing of orphans, provide care and support services, support them to acquire education through sponsorship and to provide financial and material support to them.

He said another goal was to ensure that their school fees were paid and to provide them school uniforms, books and other logistics.

Mr Amoani said these would help the children to come out of their perennial displacement and marginalisation and prevent them from moving into vices such as; commercial sex, child domestic labour and other immoral activities.

He mentioned some of the project activities as; sharing of donations by donors themselves, fun and entertainment facilities for all children, interaction with orphans and having photographs with them.

He said the total budget for the project was almost GHC 60, 000 and called on Governmental, Non-Governmental and philanthropists to donate generously to the Kids for Christ International for them to achieve their goals during the Easter festivities.
