Kofi '1234' Digs Osafo, Botwe Out

Mr. Kofi Dokyi Apeatu-Ampaw, (Kofi 1234) leading member of the Alan Kyerematen communication team has come out to expose two senior members of the Nana Akufo Addo team over comments they made which favour Mr. Alan Kyerematen. Mr. Apeatu-Ampaw distributed copies of print-outs to the media which supported his assertions that both Hon. Osafo Marfo and Hon. Dan Botwe did not genuinely believe in Nana Akufo Addo.

Mr. Apeatu-Ampaw said he listened with disappointment when both men were interviewed on Peace FM and “they tried to wiggle themselves out of their own words.

Osafo Marfo tried to explain himself but as for Dan Botwe he arrogantly denied ever making such statements”

In the first document, Hon. Dan Botwe is quoted from an interview he granted the Ghana News Agency on September 09, 2007.

According to Mr. Botwe, “the job (presidency) is for four and possible eight continuous strenuous labor, which demands dynamism, vogour, resilience and the tenacity to endure. This is not the place for the aged. Their place is the Council of State. It is not an end of service package for successful service to the nation. Ghana deserves the services of an energetic and hard working personality.”

In the second document dated April 3 2009, Hon. Osafo Marfo is quoted as saying, “Alan is popular among floating voters.”

Hon. Osafo Marfo, was making the case that due to Mr. Alan Kyerematen’s popularity with floating voters, the party should work hard to pair him with Nana Akufo Addo in order for the party to present a winning ticket for the 2012 election. Addressing the media at Abuakwa in the Ashanti region during their campaign tour, Mr. Apeatu-Ampaw said the two leading members “should not deny that they have said these words because their words now favour Mr. Kyerematen. They should do the right thing which is in the interest of the party and stand by their words. They should put their personal agendas aside and stand up for what is in the best interest of the party. These are their own words in black and white; they should boldly stand by them”.
