National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams, has taken a swipe at a former Rector of Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Professor Stephen Adei for making comments to the effect that President Mahama’s ministerial appointments are tilted towards nepotism.

Mr. Adams questioned the criteria the retired professor used in arriving at that, challenging him to prove it or forever remain mute as his comments are deemed uncharacteristic of persons of his caliber.

“If he has retired, he must sit in retirement in dignity and stop doing the bidding of some political parties. The path he has taken is very slippery and if care is not taken he will soon lose that dignity he retired with”, he stated.

According to him, President Mahama who is a Gonja has only the Minister of Food and Agriculture Alhaji Mohammed Muniru-Limuna a colleague tribesman in cabinet.

He disclosed that the other two Gonjas serving as ministers were the Deputy Ministers of Transport and Power; Joyce Mogtari Bawah and John Abdulai Jinapor respectively.

“How does the appointment of these 3 constitute nepotism when they are not the majority in government”, he quizzed.

Mr. Adams accused the Professor Adei of doing the bidding of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo noting that such comments are rather endangering his fortunes ahead of the December 7 polls.

In his view, the professor will do himself a lot of good should he shut up and enjoy his retirement with his dignity than go about making unsubstantiated allegation likely to trigger mud being thrown at him.
