Koku Anyidoho Explains Dr. Arhin’s NDC Appointment Wahala

The Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Mr. Koku Anyidoho, has cleared the air that, the EC boss, Mrs. Charlotte Osei, the EC boss, has never appointed Dr Karl Mark Arhin to any committee.

Giving details to GhanaPoliticsOnline.Com, Mr. Anyidoho explained that the EC wrote to the National Service Secretariat to give them a representative on the committee that was to select personnel to be used for the 2016 elections.

This clarification has become expedient at a time pressure group, Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA),' wants the steering committee recently inaugurated by the Electoral Commission ahead of the November polls be dissolved on the basis that it's biased in favour of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) and that the EC boss, Mrs. Charlotte Osei, is appointed by the NDC government.

The NDC, realizing the nomination of the said Dr Arhin to the committee, and knowing that it is winning the election and would not want to give room for any displacement, had requested the National Service Secretariat to withdraw the membership of Dr Arhin from the committee because he remains an official of the National Democratic Congress.
