National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams, says the arrest and taking into custody of Koku Anyidoho, the Deputy General Secretary over alleged treasonable comments will not intimidate them.

The party he noted will continue to be a strong opposition that will expose the ills and rot in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking on behalf of Mr. Anyidoho, he said, the deputy scribe has asked me to extend his gratitude to party supporters who stormed the CID headquarters to show their support.

He told journalists after the embattled officer was released that, he [Anyidoho] is ‘’free for now and wants me to extend his appreciation to party supporters and Ghanaians.’’

He also expressed his gratitude to the media for the interest shown in the arrest, detention and subsequent bail of Mr. Anyidoho.

Koku Anyidoho, during an interview on Accra based Happy FM Monday, allegedly stated that President Akufo–Addo will end up like his father, who was overthrown together with Dr. KA Busia in 1972.

The controversial politician said history had an interesting way of repeating itself and that President Akufo -Addo will end up like his dad who was forced out of government via coup d'état in 1972.

These comments, which were considered to be an act of treason, led to his arrest by the Police.
