Kumasi (ASH), June 27, - Although the Ashanti Regional Health Administration has taken steps to upgrade three Polyclinics in Kumasi to decongest the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), the hos Professor A. He said despite its ever increasing patients, KATH has a bed capacity of 800 and a staff of 200 and apart from some facilities renovated with resources from the African Development Fund, KATH h The only attempt at an expansion was the construction of a children's block and a maternity ward, which started this year but has already been abandoned. The Chief Administrator called on the government to build more houses for the staff since most of them leave their pots for lack of accommodation. Professor G. W.
