“Justice Kpegah has confirmed that ‘serious moves are being made to resolve the
differences’ between Rawlings and Mills. He said the NDC needs the support of both
stalwarts in order to retain power, and that all well-meaning supporters of the
party should rally behind the chiefs from the Volta region to bring the animosity to
a closure. Kpegah stated that ‘I am worried because if NDC is not in power, some of
us will be worse off in Ghana’” (Ghanaweb April 4, 2012).
“A group of Chiefs from the Volta region trying to mend divisions between the NDC
founder, Rawlings and Mills have debunked suggestions that their actions are
partisan contrary to the 1992 constitution” (Abridged from Ghanaweb April 26, 2012)
“NDC MP for Adenta, Kojo Adu Asare is in awe of how Rawlings will campaign for the
re-election of Mills after being critical of government. According to him, Rawlings
since the NDC took office has berated the Mills calling them ‘greedy bastards’ and
wondered what Rawlings will tell Ghanaians to change their minds and vote for
Mills’” (Abridged from Ghanaweb April 27, 2012).
“Some of us will be worse off”
Ah! The Kpegah Law
Of dubious victimhood
Hmm! The Awonoor Doctrine
Of tribalistic supremacy
The paradox of history
Now Mills must be saved
Mills, the last King of the Volta
The lost Proxy King for the Volta
Stand-in for Awonoor Doctrine
Surrogate for Kpegah Law
Surety for Tribal Hegemony
Now Mills must be saved
To save Kpegah Law
Of dubious victimhood
To save Awonoor Doctrine
Of tribalistic supremacy
To save the Castle Pond
Full of Keta School Boys
Full of KPEGAH-ED CHIEFS
Chiefs with beads of sweat
Fists recklessly unhinged
Celebrating KINSHIP
Like houseflies on wounds
Like vultures on carcasses
JJ demonizes Mills
Volta Chiefs are silent
JJ demonizes Mills
The Konongo Kaya
Who Born Dog
Greedy Bastards
Atta Mortuary
Atta the Snail
Atta the Corrupt
Atta the Never-Do-Well
KONADU for Tarkwa Atta
Now Mills must be saved
To save the Proxy King
To save Kpegah Law
To save Awonoor Doctrine
Oh! And the nomadic chiefs
In the corridors of Accra
To save Woyome from fraud
To save Rawlings from Mills
It is the Kpegah Law
It is the Awonoor Doctrine
Hegemony that uses Mills
Fante Mills the Proxy King
The last King of the Volta
The bridge over the Volta
The clueless big Fante fish
Ah! Is among the small fish
Small Keta School Boys
Ah! The Volta chiefs
They were silent
When JJ fired-up Ridge
When he blew toxic ashes
Blew ashes into Mills’ eyes
They were silent
When JJ Rawlings missile-d
Missile-d his toxic phlegm
When his toxic phlegm landed
Landed on Simpa Fante Mills
Eh! The Phlegm that killed Liman
The phlegm that burnt Arkaah
The phlegm that flooded Kufour
Now Volta chiefs want it all
They want to intervene
Darkness confounds day
They ask JJ to rescue Mills
They have run out of sons
Ah! Run out of daughters
Oh! The Paradox of Adze pa
Ah! Fante son carrying the Volta
Their proxy sun is dimmed
The sun is in another orbit
Ah! The Konongo Kaya
Ah! Kaya Mills is tired
Tired of carrying it all
Carrying their Throne
Carrying the Kpegah Laws
Of dubious victimhood
Carrying Awonoor Doctrine
Of tribalistic supremacy
JJ Rawlings’ toxic phlegmCrucible-ing paradox
Has saved Mills for Mills
Has saved it all for all
Ghana for all Ghanaians
