Korean Government gives to Ghana

Accra, Oct. 7, GNA - The Korean Government on Thursday presented two Hyundai Grandeur and Sonata Saloon cars and office equipment worth about 62,000 dollars to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ghana's Foreign Minister, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo received the items, which included three copier machines, three laptop computers, a fax machine and a server, 30 toners for the copier machine, five drums for copier machine and four toner for fax machine, were received. Mr Lee Sang-Pal, Korean Ambassador, presenting the items said the donation was to strengthen the cordial relationship between the two countries.

He said the Korean government appreciated the warm and co-operative support of the Ghana Government towards Korea especially at the international level.

"It is my Government's wish to further strengthen the existing closer ties with Ghana and to render its support whenever the need arises.

"The Korean Government and the Korean Embassy in Ghana also highly value the openness and friendship of Ghanaian people toward the Korean community in Ghana," he said.

Mr Sang-Pal said he was hopeful that the assistance would continue to make the bonds of friendship between Ghana and Korea stronger. Nana Akuffo-Addo was grateful to the Korean Government for the support and expressed the hoped that the presentation would further enhance the existing good relations between the two.
