The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), Reverend Albert Botchway, seems to have incurred the displeasure of the senior staff of the Hospital after requesting information on the whereabouts of Charles Ofei-Palm, the President of the Korle Bu Senior Staff Association (KOSSA).

Rev. Botchway is said to have queried Mr Ofei-Palm, a Prinicpal Pharmacist at the Trauma Unit of KBTH, over a petition he sent on behalf of the Association to President John Dramani Mahama.

Members of the Association chanted songs and marched to the office of Reverend Botchway to express chagrin at his query to their president.

Mr Ofei-Palm is said to have since responded to the query.

“We are [also] presenting our response to him,” James Clifford Oblittey, the General Secretary of KOSSA, told TV3 on Wednesday, June 25.

Mr Oblittey indicated that they have been very mild with their march as a result of the numerous patients on admission at the Hospital.

“We don’t want to create a scene because we have patients on admission. Any little thing can just trigger their emotions and cause a lot of things, but we’ve not been recognized by the Acting Chief Executive Officer and the board.”
