Korle Bu Children's Unit suspends admission

Accra, April 7, GNA - The Children's Emergency Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Friday, said it has suspended fresh admissions due to congestion.

A statement signed by Mr Mustapha Salifu, Public Relations Officer, said the suspension would last for two days.

It said the aim was to decongest the Unit since the situation had grown to the extent that it could not admit new patients. The statement appealed to people requiring medical attention to call at other facilities in the Metropolis.
