Accra, Oct 16, GNA - The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital at the weekend organised a blood donation campaign and fun games to mark its 87th anniversary celebration.
The week-long celebration is on the theme: "87 years of health care delivery, successes, challenges and the way forward."
Mr Mustapha Salifu, Public Relations Officer of the hospital told the Ghana News Agency in an interview in Accra that the hospital is hosting the National Blood Bank, hence the need to have a large stock of blood to treat patients.
He said as the pioneer teaching hospital, it is important for the medical facility to improve upon service delivery to serve good example to other health institutions.
Mr Salifu said a Christian thanksgiving service would be held in Accra to conclude the celebration in Accra.
