Head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Steven Polack has down played the effect of his side's 1-0 loss to Dreams FC, saying it doesn't affect his pre-season plans and expectations.
"No", he stressed when asked at the post-match conference if his plans have been thwarted by the results. "This is just a pre-season game. We learn from it and move on. This is football.
We don't want to lose particularly at home but I would be worried if this was the season and not pre-season."
The defeat is Kotoko's first in four pre-season games and as many in the competition which Steve Polack says he is using to assess his players but desires to win.
Group-A is now open with Kotoko and Dreams FC on three points in two games ahead of today's other day-2 game between Aduana Stars, who are also on three points from one game, and pointless Techiman Eleven Wonders.
A semi final berth now hinges on victory against Aduana Stars in the last group game. The coach Steven Polack says that is the focus currently.
"If you are a coach, you want to win every trophy even if its pre-season. This game is gone. They did well and I congratulate them. We have to move on, win our game on Sunday to qualify for the semi finals."
