Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s target of winning this year’s CAF Confederation Cup has been backed by former midfielder of the side Yusif Chibsah who believes it is achievable.
Chibsah believes that Kotoko is a big entity and setting such a target is what they need to get things done right.
He, however, believes that the target can only become a reality when the club backs it with the needed financial support.
“Yes it’s achievable, why not? A club like Asante Kotoko with the fan base and the finances, everything must be achievable,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com
“Moreover, no one goes into a competition with the aim of exiting in the first round. If you are ready and want to go, the ultimate should be winning it and they are capable of doing it,” he added.
Asante Kotoko will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup next year following their dramatic FA Cup triumph on their sworn rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.
