Kotoko are playing Inter Allies today
CAF confederations Cup campaigners Asante Kotoko will play Inter Allies in a friendly encounter as part of preparations for the continental championship.
The Porcupine Warriors will play the Tema based club at the Accra Sports Stadium today as part of their outline for the fixtures in the Confederations Cup.
The Reds have been preparing for the competition with some high profile friendlies.
Meanwhile, Inter Allies have been in training and also been involved in series of friendly games since the league was abruptly brought to a halt.
The Temas based club has put in impressive performances against opponents including Accra Hearts of Oak, Dreams FC, Elmina Sharks, Heart of Lions, Mighty Jets and a host of Premier and lower league sides.
This will be the first time the two sides will meet since Kotoko run away with a slim 1-0 win against Allies in the first round of the 2017/18 Premier League at the Baba Sports Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors will play the winner of the first preliminary round match between Kariobangi Sharks of Kenya and Alter Solar of Djibouti, though the former has taken a giant lead after a 6-1 win in the first leg.
