Kotoko Board Chair, Dr. Kwame Kyei is not pleased with the clubs exit from the MTN FA Cup
Following their recent poor performance, Kumasi Asante Kotoko is planning to axe some senior players.
Reports suggest the players may be about seven, but three others will be loaned out.
A leaked audio making rounds indicates a displeased Board Chair, Dr. Kwame Kyei, blasting the players for the Porcupine Warriors failure to qualify for the round of 32 of the MTN FA Cup. They were beaten 2-1 by neighbours Asokwa Deportivo.
Some key players who have not been playing for some time now are expected to be part of the players who will be shown the exit.
The worry to many football pundits and fans is the cyclical nature of this action which is not helping in building consistency in the team.
Kotoko are presently 5th on the Ghana Premier League and the only way to return to Africa is to win the GPL.
They host Bechem United Friday night to their new adopted home, the Accra Sports Stadium.
