Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has said that a petition will be submitted to the president regarding the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

Speaking to JoyNews on Thursday, December 4, 2025, Kpebu expressed his readiness to fully cooperate with the processes, while committing to following legal processes.

Martin Kpebu recounts reason for his detention by OSP

“I think that if they create an independent committee, I don't mind… They [OSP] said I should bring it so I'm not scared to give [it to] them. It's not about proving a point. Where I'll be proving a point is sending the petition to the president and then from the president, he will forward it to the Chief Justice within seven days and then Chief Justice will look into it.

“That is Section 15 of the OSP law. If there's a prima facie case, that's if he finds the allegations weighty, then they'll set up a committee. We'll go before the committee and I’ll call my witnesses just like the way it happened in Justice Torkornoo's case. If any point is to be proven, it is in the committee,” he said.

Kpebu said he is receiving continuous information from citizens to support his claims.

“We’ve hit Kissi Agyebeng very hard… we’re saying he’s corrupted.

“Just this morning, I got more citizens coming to give me more information. So, let’s give it a bit of time," he added.

He further challenged the Special Prosecutor to an open process if needed.

“If he likes, we should do the hearing on a live broadcast. You will see people bring even more information,” he said.
