A group calling itself Concern Youth of Kpone have called on the Minister of Chieftaincy, Dr Seidu Danaa to ensure that the transferred registrar of the Kpone Traditional Council, Harry Attipoe leaves to his base with immediate effect.

According to the youth, the registrar was transferred sometime in April to the Volta region but till date he is still seen at the office of the Kpone traditional council transacting official business.

At a press conference addressed by its Chairman, Samuel Nii Noye Adzeman the youth said they have ample evidence that Mr Attipoe is still involved in several official activities in the area.

"We have evidence that he is still involved in the issuing of Kpone lands and for that matter we wish to inform our traditional authorities that Mr Harry Attipoe is no more assigned to duties in the Greater Accra region and for that matter the Kpone Traditional Council.

"Mr Attipoe has been transferred to the Volta region and we believe that nobody is above the law and for that matter Harry Attipoe must politely leave and go and concentrate on his duties in the Volta region," Mr Adzeman stressed.

He added that "Harry Attipoe must stop administering our lands for the proper land allocation committee to be constituted by the traditional council and the three royal houses to administer the Kpone lands"

Mr Adzeman announced that Mr Harry Attipoe is no longer the registrar of the Kpone Traditional Council and therefore whoever deals with him on the issue of Kpone lands does so at his or her own risk.

"Attipoe is no longer here as registrar so nobody should deal with him regarding Kpone lands and so whoever does so does that at his or her own risk"

One of the key stakeholders Samuel Tetteh Kwashie Morton alleged that over three hundred and forty receipts of lands that have been sold by Mr Attipoe have been submitted to the REGSEC for redress because till date nothing has been heard from him.

"Since Mr Attipoe has been transferred from here so he should humbly leave and ensure that the right steps are followed to ensure that those of us whose lands are yet to be released are done".

The Public Relations Officer of the Association, Emmanuel Nortey noted that the people of Kpone will not vote if Harry Attipoe is not compelled to leave Kpone as he has been transferred.

However, attempts to reach Mr Attipoe for comment have not been successful.
