Krachi, June 10, GNA - Mr Moses Kwame Punya, Krachi West District Chief Executive, has outlined his administration's development priorities and said he would focus on education and human resource development. He said the assembly would sponsor trainee teachers and nurses to stem the high attrition rate in the education and health sectors of the area.
Mr Punya told the GNA in an interview that another area he would focus on would be the road and transport sectors. He said several civil and public servants had refused postings to the area because of bad roads and frequent breakdown of the ferry that plies between Krachi and Kodjokrom in the Brong-Ahafo Region. He said the Asukawkaw-Dambai segment of the Kpando-Worawora-Dambai road network was receiving attention.
Mr Punya said his administration is determined to explore other sources of revenue beyond its traditional sources and monitor revenue collection to stem embezzlement. Mr Daniel Adorni, acting Chairman of the Krachi Youth Association, on behalf of members, pledged their support to the development of the area.
