Angry residents of Krofuom say the huge amount of monies they have committed into cursing the Police after the Police schemed to exonerate the officers who allegedly killed the 22 year old man will surely bring them[Police] down to their knees.
The residents who were irked by a supposed autopsy report suggesting that the deceased, Kwadwo Tawiah died of heart failure took to the streets Tuesday to create chaos following the turn of events surrounding the young man’s death.
Police last week promised to investigate the matter and deliver justice to the family of the deceased should the Police allegedly involved in the case be implicated by the post mortem report.
But residents say they were stunned to hear the Ashanti Regional Commander, DCOP Kofi Boakye insisting on a local radio station that the deceased rather died of a cardiac arrest, hence their decision to vent their anger.
The situation was chaotic as the youth clashed with the police pelting them with stones and creating confusion on the streets.
Some of the residents have vowed to use spiritual means to secure justice, as they believe they have been given a raw deal by the Police.
“The curses that people have so far invoked on the Police are just too much; my family alone we’ve spent 500 cedis on the curses, so the Police should watch out.” locals told journalist during the protest.
