Kuami Eugene told me he had a dream and saw me in the song 'Watch Me' - Empress Gifty

Ghanaian gospel artiste Empress Gifty has disclosed that her latest song ‘Watch Me’ was a gift from fellow musician Kuami Eugene, who had a dream about her.

In an interview with Adom FM on October 10, 2024, she stated that she had received a call from the “Monica” hitmaker, telling her he had a song for her.

“He said he had a dream and had seen me in the song, so I said 'Okay', he should send the song to me," she recounted.

She immediately felt a strong connection to the track after listening to it.

“I knew that this was the song for me,” she said.

Empress Gifty further disclosed that Kuami Eugene not only wrote the song but was responsible for other aspects of the production process. All while being on tour.

“Kuami Eugene wrote, produced, and mastered the song, he even recorded the song. I think that time he was on tour. He came to Ghana, did everything and then went back,” she stated.
