Students of Kubori Nurses and Midwifery College in the Mamprugu Moaduri District of the North East Region are praising the management for swiftly resolving the campus water crisis.

The college used its internal generated funds (IGF) to drill two mechanised boreholes – one electric and one solar-powered – providing potable water across the campus.

This move has brought relief to students, staff, and cooks who previously trekked long distances for water.

"I think if we had gotten what they have put across, it would have aided us to take our studies and learning seriously. Because looking at the water issue, we used to go far away to get water, which we are always tired, but now, we are happy with the swift intervention by management as they are able to provide us with this. We are managing, and we are happy with that," said Agono Maxwell, a student.

A level 200 student, Aparem Lydia, in an interview with GhanaWeb, also praised management, especially the principal, for the timely intervention.

"All thanks to our hardworking principal. We used to have a water crisis, but now they've given us two mechanised boreholes, one which is solar and the other is electricity. So we have no water crisis anymore," Lydia commended.

The college, established in 2023 and accredited by GTEC and NMC, has about 600 students and is affiliated with the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

The management has also resolved the internet connectivity challenge with Starlink, sponsored by a benevolent community member and expanded by the college for wider coverage.
