Kufuor Tours Eastern Region

President Kufuor has begun a two-day familiarisation tour of the Eastern Region of Ghana. Whilst there, the President will attend a durbar of chiefs at Akropong and Koforidua.

He is expected to stay overnight at Koforidua and move on to Anyinem and Nkawkaw tomorrow. The President will finally attend a durbar at Mpreaso and Akyem Oda.

The visit forms part of a series of scheduled tours by President Kufuor to meet the chiefs and people of various regions to express appreciation for their support since he won the elections last year. The President, last week undertook a similar tour of the Central Region.
