Kufuor’s son pens emotional wish for late mother on Mother's Day

Edward A. Kufuor, son of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, has extended a Mother's Day wish to his late mother, Theresa Kufuor.

In his message, Edward expressed his longing for his mother to have still been alive to celebrate this special day together with him.

He expressed gratitude to her for the significant impact she had on his life, which has helped him achieve prominence even after her passing.

Edward said that, due to the exemplary life his mother led, she is now resting in the bosom of the Almighty God.

"Happy 1st Mother's-Day-In-Heaven... Oh, what I wouldn't do for just one more chance to hug and irritatingly kiss you all over your face and give you orchids and roses...mmm rest peacefully, mama, girlfriend.... I am living proof of your excellent work," he wrote on X.

Theresa Kufuor, former First Lady of Ghana, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

The retired nurse and midwife was the spouse of the Second President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor.

The former president once disclosed that he married Theresa a year after their acquaintance.
