Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has provided an update on Iddrisu Baba who picked up an injury during the game against South Africa on Thursday night.
The Real Mallorca star was handed a start on his debut at the Cape Coast Stadium but had to be stretchered off after the collision in stoppage time.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Kwesi Appiah also confirmed the hard-working midfielder suffered an ankle problem in the 2-0 win over Bafana.
Baba will undergo further tests today to determine the full extent of the injury.
“I think he had a head clash but before we came here [for the presser], he was okay. He joined us in prayers and everything. He also had an ankle problem so the doctors will work with him so hopefully, by tomorrow we should know [his status],” the coach revealed.
