Former Minister for Youth and Sports Nii Lantey Vanderpuye has revealed that embattled former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi had an ambition of becoming the President of Ghana one day, and as such, he was not surprised of the things that Kwesi Nyantekyi said of taking over the whole country in the Tiger Eye Pi documentary.
Speaking in an interview with Esther Abankwa on Angel TV's "On the Turf" program over the weekend, the former Sports Minister Nii Lantey Vanderpuye noted that a close friend of Kwesi Nyantekyi revealed to him of his intentions.
"I was told by a very reliable source that Kwesi Nyantakyi had the Presidential ambition, so I was not surprised at all when he was caught in the Anas documentary saying that he would be doing politics in the next two years", Nii Lantey Vanderpuye said.
After the expose was premiered at the AICC, several developments have occurred in the football circles, the GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi has resigned, all football activities in Ghana have been halted and the government has dissolved the Ghana Football Association with the Ghana Police Service taking over the GFA Premises.
