LBC Employee absconds with 43.3million cedis

Wasa Akropong (W/R), Feb. 16, Matthew Quaidoo Dankwah, a 40-year-old employee of Wasa Akropong District branch of the Ejumapah Buying Company, a Licensed Buying Company (LBC), is alleged to have stolen 43,335,000 cedis belonging to his employers.

A source close to the Wasa Akropong Police told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Monday.

It said Mr Peter Nyame, District Marketing Officer of the company, gave the money to Dankwah to purchase 77 bags of dry cocoa beans and has since not been seen in the area. The source said Dankwah who is also known as Francis Cofie worked for the company for three years and is a native of Abesewa Gyaman, near Wasa Akropong.
