The Local Enterprises and Skills Development Programme (LESDEP) has come out with a special package to assist regional branches of Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers association to establish resource centres (GNTDA).
Alhaji B. Bala, National President of GNTDA made this known on Saturday at the regional graduation ceremony for 28 apprentices of the association who passed the 2012 National Vocational and Technical Institute examinations, after completing a four-year training programme in Takoradi.
Each of the regional branches will receive 10 sewing machines, embroidering over-locking machine, one motor bike and one computer under the package.
He said the assistance forms part of the government support to the informal sector through the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and LESDEP as part of the Better Ghana Agenda.
