The government of Ghana has addressed Ghanaians on new updates regarding the new Coronavirus after some recorded cases in the country.
Ghana on Thursday confirmed two cases of the COVID-19, being the first cases to be reported in the country.
The Ministry of Health disclosed in a statement on Thursday that the two confirmed cases were received at the same time from the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research.
Prior to this, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had in a nationwide broadcast directed the Minister of Finance to devote $100 million to enhance the country’s preparedness in the possible outbreak of the virus.
At the press briefing in Accra, Sunday, officials confirmed there are four new cases.
