The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, is briefing Parliament on the rising cases of cholera and the meningitis outbreak recorded in certain parts of the country.
His appearance follows a request from Minority Leader and Effutu MP, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who raised concerns over the recent outbreaks of cholera and cerebrospinal meningitis (CSM) in various regions.
The Health Minister has conducted field assessments in the affected areas. He visited the Western, Greater Accra, and Central Regions to evaluate the cholera outbreak and traveled to the Upper West Region to inspect the meningitis crisis.
