LIVESTREAMED: Public Accounts Committee begins scrutiny of 2024 audited accounts

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament has officially commenced its sitting to review and scrutinise the Auditor-General’s report on the government’s financial operations and those of its agencies for the year 2024.

In line with its constitutional mandate, the PAC is tasked with examining audited public accounts to ensure accountability, transparency, and fiscal discipline across all government sectors.

On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the Committee will hear from the Office of Government Machinery and other key institutions as they respond to queries raised in the Auditor-General’s findings.

These proceedings are expected to shed light on how public funds were utilized and whether agencies complied with financial regulations and procurement laws.

The hearing is being chaired by Abena Osei-Asare, MP for Atiwa East, with Samuel Atta-Mills, MP for Komenda, serving as the Ranking Member.
