The 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards officially kicked off at the Accra International Conference Centre’s Grand Arena this Saturday, May 9, 2026.
With over 25 categories up for contention, anticipation was sky-high as fans eagerly awaited results in the most keenly contested slots, including Artiste of the Year, Album of the Year, Afrobeats Song of the Year, and Popular Song of the Year.
Heavyweights like Black Sherif, Medikal, Wendy Shay, Stonebwoy, Diana Hamilton, and Piesie Esther were all in the spotlight, with their fan bases buzzing and rooting for victory.
Beyond the awards, patrons were treated to electrifying live performances, jaw-dropping stagecraft, and a few surprises to keep the energy soaring.
And of course, the red carpet is already rolled with celebrities dazzling in their ensembles as the timeless question, “Who are you wearing?”, takes center stage once again.
