The three-member Commission of Inquiry tasked to investigate issues pertaining to violent clashes that occurred at La Bawaleshie during the Ayawaso West Wuogon polls is holding its final sitting at the Christianborg Castle in Accra.
The Committee comprising Chairperson, Former CHRAJ Boss, Justice Emile Short, renowned law lecturer, Prof. Henrietta Bonsu as well as Patrick Acheampong have so far been ‘grilling’ various parties connected with the subject including National Security and Interior ministers, Top Police officials, Media personalities, Political party executives, Heads of the National Security Secretariat among others.
All three Ministers concerned with state security appeared before the committee on the first day to give their testimonies and answer questions. Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery, National Security Minister, Albert Kan Dapaah and Minister of State in charge of Security, Bryan Acheampong all addressed questions in their respective capacities.
Ningo-Prampram MP, Sam George, Ayawaso West Wuogon and Colonel Michael Opoku, Director of Operations for National Security Secretariat made some quite interesting revelations when they took their turn before the Commission.
