The 25th edition of World Press Freedom Day begins today, May 2nd in Accra, Ghana.
The opening ceremony is currently taking place at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.
Over 800 participants including; high-level representatives of regional and national judiciary systems, ministers, heads of media organizations, journalists and civil society are expected to attend the main event.
Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Mahamudu Bawumia will open the conference and President Nana Akufo-Addo will be the Guest of Honour for the award Gala night later today at 6pm.
