Greater Accra Regional Minister, Ishmael Ashitey is expected to address workers at the 2018 workers day celebrations at the Black Star square in Accra.
This is in line with May Day celebrations worldwide to recognise and commend the hardwork of all private and public workers in their various fields.
As workers worldwide celebrate the International Workers Day otherwise known as "May Day" today, Ghanaian trade unions and labour associations across the country mark the day with a parade.
Workers nationwide will mark the day, representing their institutions in T-shirts and banners at the various parade grounds in all 10 regions of the country.
The main event will be held at Kumasi where the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is also expected to launch the Nation Builders Corps today.
May Day is a day set aside to take stock of the contribution of labour to the socio-politico-economic development of the world.
