Parliament is currently in session as lawmakers convene to discuss government business on the floor.
The Minority have dressed in black to protest the declaration of the Kpandai seat as vacant.
This follows a formal notification by the House to the Electoral Commission (EC) on Monday, December 8, 2025, after a High Court in Tamale directed a rerun of the 2024 parliamentary election
In a letter dated December 4, 2025, the Clerk to Parliament, Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror, informed EC Chairperson Jean Mensa that the seat was officially vacant in line with the court’s ruling.
