The Electoral Commission came under the spotlight after the NDC boycotted its maiden IPAC meeting on grounds of late notice. The meeting, however, went ahead as planned by the EC.

Also during the week, Ghana witnessed a historic traditional visit of the Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II to Okyehene Amoatia Ofori Panin I. This is the first visit in more than 2 centuries and only the third by an Asantehene.
