Ghana recently lost $190 million granted by its US partners as part of a power concession agreement after government decided to terminate the deal with Power Distribution Services (PDS).

However, government is to select from the six companies shortlisted in the previous bidding process as the new concessionaire to take up the private sector participation in the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to replace Power Distribution Services (PDS) following the termination of the latter’s contract.

History was made Friday when Ghana elected its 24th president of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku.

The election was conducted in the rounds with Kurt Okraku leading both. In the third round aspirant, George Afriyie conceded making Kurt Okraku the winner of the election.

Shortly after he was sworn in as president. He is expected to take office starting Monday, October 28, 2019.
