Parliament continues with the hearing on the bribery probe report presented by the Joe Ghartey committee Thursday March 30, 2017.
The Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Mike Ocquaye is today giving his ruling on the report on the floor of the house to issue a firm directive on the first recommendation by the Joe Ghartey committee; that Mahama Ayariga be reprimanded by the Speaker in accordance with section 35 of the Parliament act.
He will also confirm whether the apology rendered yesterday was accepted or should be re-rendered.
The report was presented in the final hours of Thursday after the earlier delay.
The house in parliament however was thrown into a state of chaos following the release as members from both sides in parliament exchanged words while attacking each other.
This follows an apology rendered by the MP for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga per the second recommendation of the Joe Ghartey committee.
Mr. Ayariga when asked by the Speaker, Mike Ocquaye to apologised used the opportunity to explain his point as well as raise some other issues and eventually rendered an apology hesitantly.
