It also mentioned contagious bovine pleuro-pneumonia (cbpp) and pests of small ruminants as some of the diseases the livestock industry has to contend with. In a move to contain these diseases and improve upon the health status of animals in the region, the report said 11,600 cattle would be vaccinated against blackleg disease in all endemic areas t In addition, 6,000 cattle would be vaccinated against contagious bovine pleuro-pneumonia while 29,000 sheep and goats would be vaccinated.
