The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) says all ladies who have stretch marks or bleached skin will be automatically dismissed from the recruitment program.

Public relations officer of the GIS, says the reason behind this decision is to prevent such ladies from severe damages during their line of work.

According to him, the first screening process will exclude persons with low heights, bowed legs, stretch marks as well as bleached skins.

"We are looking out for people with flat foot, surgical and stretch marks, bleached skins. For such people, we don't entertain them," Superintendent Michael Amoako-Attah revealed in an interview with the Daily Graphic.

Though the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) opened vacancies for just 500 persons, over 80,000 applicants are partaking in the recruitment process.

Statistics show that 48 percent of all university graduates don't have jobs and even the remaining 12 percent of those who have jobs are in careers they never planned to be in.

The NPP administration has expressed interest in creating the best opportunity for jobs in Ghana but from what many saw at the El Walk Stadium in Accra, it shows a clear disparity.

A recent report by the Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU) has warned that the prevailing issue of unemployment has the potential of spreading bouts of political vigilantism in Ghana, especially during the 2020 elections.

As it stands now, the government is introducing massive interventions to ease to the unemployment rates in the country.

This has been seen through the coming on board of the one-district-one-factory and planting for food and jobs which are both aimed at creating about 750,000 jobs.
