Land System Is Bogus - K.B Asante

Nana Dr. S.K.B. Asante, Omanhene of the Asokore Traditional Area, has attacked stool lands administration as ?One of the most inefficient and unproductive undertakings in the public sector.?

According to him, what traditional authorities need from State agencies on stool lands is sound technical advice and support and not deprivation or stifling controls.

The desired technical support and advice will enable traditional authorities to harness the benefits for the community, he said.

He called for critical examination of the State involvement in land administration because the country?s land administration has been informed and inspired by a number of assumptions that need to be looked into, in the light of empirical evidence.

He was speaking in an interview with the Daily Graphic in Accra.
