Former Black Stars winger Laryea Kingston has lavished kind words on Kumasi Asante Kotoko shot stopper Felix Annan ahead of Sunday’s Afcon qualifiers.
The former Accra Hearts of Oak wide man touted Annan as an able replacement for the axed Fatawu Dauda and Razak Braimah going into the Weekend’s qualifiers.
Felix Annan, who made a dream start to the season in the Ghana premier league, earned his maiden invite into the senior national team and his compatriot in Laryea Kingston believes Felix is good enough to boss the goal post given his versatile nature and ability to launch quick counter attacks.
The retired Ghana international was in awe with the technical superiority of the Kotoko shot stopper, calling him a libero and a leader.
Speaking on the Friday Night Legends chat on GhONE TV, Laryea Kingston outlined the qualities of Felix Annan ahead of tomorrow’s crunch clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.
“Felix Annan is a very good Keeper with lots of technical abilities and I think he can still develop even further.
“He can launch quick counter attacks from the back, organise his defense and acts as a libero at the back. All in all he is a very good modern goal keeper”, Laryea told Fifi Banson on GHOne TV.
Felix Annan will have to battle Wa All Stars Richard Ofori for a place between the goal post tomorrow when Ethiopia come calling at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
