"...no matter what investigation is done, Professor Mills himself can never be innocent of what happened to him. He can never be innocent. When you came from abroad and looking at your face and hands, experts said there was something strange there; you said your doctor says you’re very fit and young boys, some of whom I’m even older than, were giving orders for him to run on the tarmac," says James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly called Kabila.
The CPP stalwart therefore cautioned President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo against pursuing any inquest into the cause of the unexpected death of President John Evans Atta Mills.
The late President is believed to have died under mysterious circumstances and since his demise in 2012, there have been several controversies.
Just as the matter seems to have simmered down over the years, brother of the late President Mills, Dr. Cadman Mills recently made shocking revelations about his brother's demise.
To him, his late brother may have lived longer if his handlers had taken proper care of him.
Dr. Cadman Mills recounted how upon returning from a trip abroad to see his brother, he was utterly shocked to see the deteriorating condition of the late President.
According to him, there were visible signs on the late President that showed his ill health especially during his last days in office.
Dr. Cadman Mills was upset about the defence that was put up by the late President's handlers though it was crystal clear that he (Mills) wasn't in a better shape.
“Some things were happening that I must be very honest I wasn’t happy about..." he said on Starr FM.
After the inception of the Nana Addo administration, there are indications that the government might launch investigations into the real cause of President Mills' death.
But speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, James Kwabena Bomfeh asked the President not to list it in his priorities.
According to him, there are other pressing needs of Ghanaians that the President has to concentrate his mind on and the demise of President Mills is obviously not one of them.
Kabila advised him (Nana Addo) to focus on his vision for the nation and leave President Mills to apparently rest in peace.
He however blamed the late President over his death because to him, there were indeed visible signs that he (Mills) wasn't strong and healthy enough to do the things that his handlers dissuaded him to do during his tenure.
He told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that "no matter what investigation is done, Professor Mills himself can never be innocent of what happened to him. He can never be innocent. When you came from abroad and looking at your face and hands, experts said there was something strange there; you said your doctor says you’re very fit and young boys, some of whom I’m even older than, were giving orders for him to run on the tarmac.”
