Leader of "Terrorist" Group In Police Grip

A key member of the "Issakaba," terrorist group based at Nima, Mohammed Ziblim, whose members allegedly acted as land guards and brutalised some residents including a seven-month pregnant woman at Agyiringanor, near East Legon in March this year and vandalised their property, is in police grips.

Ziblim, also called "Black Coffee," who has eluded police since March this year was arrested yesterday after he allegedly knocked down a pedestrian with a motorbike at Alajo in Accra. A Community Tribunal at Madina had earlier remanded six other members of the group in connection with the case. Adjei Narh, Adjei Osaban, Moses Adjei also called "Manager" Osaban Odonkor, Adjei Boye and Lennox had all pleaded not guilty to causing unlawful damage and would re-appear on July 29.

A police source told the Ghana News Agency that, 34 other members of the gang now on their wanted list following a series of petitions to both President J. A. Kufuor and the Minister of Interior are yet to be arrested.
