Retired Diplomat KB Asante says Ghanaians should leave gays alone to practise their sexual orientation in freedom.
“…Leave them alone. If two men want to live together, leave them alone. If two men live together, let them live together and the law does not say they shouldn’t”, K B Asante told XYZ Breakfast Show host Moro Awudu on Time with K B Asante on Monday.
“If two men or two women are together and they have certain rights, we can pass a law to say when they die, one can inherit the other and so on, it is not the case at the moment”, he suggested.
His comments follow a recent report that Deputy Minister of Culture and Creative Arts, Dzifa Gomashie, urged tolerance of the rights of homosexuals at a public event.
The former Ambassador, however, said gay unions in the form of marriage should not be permitted in Ghana.
“…Marriage is between man and woman; gay marriage and all that is nonsense; absolute nonsense”.
