After days of post electoral violence being perpetuated on innocent Ghanaians by supporters of the vanquished opposition party in Ghana the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ghana’s Ambassador to Egypt H.E Alhaji Said Sinare have called on the former presidential candidate of the NPP Nana Akufo Addo to stop the violence and allow peace to prevail.

He said it was better for the NPP to stop unleashing violence on the sympathizers of the ruling party and proceed to the courts if they have the prove.

He said ‘’Akufo Addo is not bigger and greater than the NPP. No individual is mightier than a party he lost the elections and he should concede defeat.

We said he was going to lose and he lost the elections and if he doesn’t understand and wish to go to court let him go with evidence to prove.’’

Supporters of the NPP took to the streets after the electoral commissioner of Ghana declared the presidential candidate of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama as president-elect of the republic of Ghana on the evening of Sunday 9th January 2012.

The irate supporters vented their spleen on innocent Ghanaians especially those in the T. shirts with John Mahama’s picture embossed on it or anything in the colors of black, green, red and white. The NPP hoodlums visited violence on the people at various communities citing electoral fraud.

Alhaji Sinare who doubles as a vice chairman of the NDC tells Gold News the people have spoken and therefore Nana and his supporters should concede defeat and allow Ghana ‘stay alive.’

He warned Nana Addo to be careful and put his people to order because ‘’when the cup gets full it will be difficult to control.’’

He argued that this was not the first time the Multimedia staple has called election results, describing the NPP’s action as sheer hypocrisy.

He emphasized that the people of Ghana had spoken and that the NDC will continue to deliver to the satisfaction of the good people of Ghana.

The one time Member of Parliament (MP) however urged supporters of his party to remain calm and stoical in the face of the ongoing severe political provocation to allow the security agencies to control the situation.

On what happens if Nana Addo fails to concede H.E Alhaji Sinare said ‘’I don’t care if he concedes or not, for as long as a lot of the candidates have conceded, and the international observers and community have acknowledged John Mahama as the winner of the president, I don’t care what Akufo Addo does. Let him stay in his corner, we are cruising to better the lots of the people.’’

Let me tell you this ‘’Nana Addo is not destined to be president, he doesn’t have it. It is God that appoints kings and with this humiliating defeat I don’t believe he will ever think of going the third time.

It is Allah that chooses and he had chosen a good leader for Ghana. Lets raise our hands and praise Allah to show gratitude for given the good people of Ghana a decisive and humble president-John Dramani Mahama,’’ Alhaji Sinare Said.
