Former President John Dramani Mahama has called on Ghanaians to love one another for the greater good and prosperity of every citizen.

The former president and now flagbearer of the opposition NDC in a Facebook post on Friday, 19 April 2019, wishing Ghanaians well during the Easter season, also prayed for “the cross of Jesus Christ and the power in his resurrection [to] strengthen and renew us, as we strive to build a better nation.”

“IT’S GOOD FRIDAY, The day our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins."

“May the cross of Jesus Christ and the power in his resurrection strengthen and renew us, as we strive to build a better nation."

“I believe through this renewal, we shall learn to love one another for the greater good and prosperity of every Ghanaian."

“Let us also remember to drive safely and ensure an accident-free Easter."

Meanwhile, the Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has said that Ghanaians need to live in harmony regardless of one’s religious or political affiliation to ensure sustainable development.

Alhaji Bawumia made this remark in a Facebook post when he felicitated with his Christian compatriots on the commemoration of Easter festivities.

He and his family wished Christians well and encouraged them to pray for Ghana.

“My family and I wish our Christian brothers and sisters a happy Easter."

“As you commemorate this special festivity which marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we encourage all to continue to pray for the country, live in harmony with one another and do our best to help make Ghana the cherished land we all wish to live in,” he said.
